Colorist Foundry – FilmVerse Full Plugin V2.1 , The original idea was very simple: FilmVerse, a film emulation plugin designed to emulate the best characteristics of Kodak Vision3 series film stocks, one of the most commonly used film stocks in Hollywood.

But we know that we are not here to develop another movie plugin in the sea of ​​movie looks. Everybody wants to emulate movie.

In order to mimic film as closely as possible, we ended up developing a specific pipeline that allowed for layering of different aspects of building a modern creative look for feature films. Our goal for this pipeline was to enable non-destructive adjustments, providing the ability to craft complex and nuanced looks while challenging the native controls and underlying mathematics of DaVinci Resolve.

Trying to emulate the aesthetic of a film one-to-one is like trying to hit a moving target. It takes pretty clever math to get to a reasonable level of accuracy. But once you’re there, it lets you bend color in ways that sometimes feel beyond the math of DaVinci Resolve. That’s what we’re here for.

Creatively (and accurately) emulate the Vision 500T + 2383 (D65) and Vision 500T + 3513 (D65) with minimal disruption.

Designing for cinematic color spaces in a widely accepted scene-referenced color space (DWG in our case)

Keep it simple: combine it with handles/controls that feel intuitive and natural, map the looks to the different master shots. This is done using creative coding, certain handles are unique/custom in functionality.

Ability to switch between scene-referenced "Vision 500T only" / "Vision 500T + 2383 (D65)" / "Vision 500T + 3513 (D65)" modes.

Going beyond traditional film emulation in future releases.
